The Irish People are truly the kindest.

I attended Mass Saturday evening in Tullamore. I parked my car in the car park. I had already made a reservation at this restaurant for after mass to catch up with a friend from Clara, so I thought I could ask to use their bathroom before Mass. On the way out of the church parking area, I noticed the boxing club was collecting funds. I had enough cash for Mass, but nothing to give the guys collecting.

On leaving the restaurant I asked if they did cashback. They didn't. I explained I just needed the cash for the collection outside the gate. The lady, I'm sure she owned the place, opened her cash register and asked me how much I wanted. She handed me the €10 and asked if I needed more for the priest.

I did add the money on to my bill at the end of dinner. I just think that it was an incredibly kind gesture.
One I won't forget.

The food was five ⭐ and if you get a chance to dine here, you won't be disappointed.
