Remember the failed resin print that flooded my desk? Here's the redo. This time I created a cube that reads "NEW" from one side and "YOU" from the other. Designed in Nomad Sculpt, printed on the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra. After the last messy fail, it felt good to watch this one come together clean. Sometimes the second try hits better.
Tried printing the word "Soul" but things went sideways. Resin leaked all over my desk after I scratched a hole into the FEP film during cleanup. Total mess. The piece was made in Nomad Sculpt, designed to fit inside a transparent cube from an art store. Printer will be back up soon. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it leaks resin everywhere.
AI or not? Did I actually print onto different surfaces for each frame using a handheld printer, or was everything done in AI? Full making-of coming soon.
Sometimes it all starts with simple shapes. Combining Nomad Sculpt and Procreate to create something from a blank canvas. A few shapes and an idea can take you far
Printing my own DTF T-shirt for the first time. I started my graphic design journey with T-shirts back in 2007, so being able to print custom designs at home now feels like coming full circle. The Procolored F13 came in a huge box covered in stickers from its journey. Instead of throwing them away, I turned them into art. Photographed them, cut them out digitally, used them in my "Explore" lettering design. Made in Nomad Sculpt, refined in Procreate.
Spent way too much time on this custom Art Toy, but every second was worth it. Designed to challenge myself, made entirely in Nomad Sculpt, printed on the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k. One dark side, one light. And those little monsters orbiting its head? Pretty much how life feels sometimes. Seeing a digital sculpture become a physical collectible still blows my mind.
Found a fun new app to play around with. AmberDraw lets you draw with animated brushes. Quite some fun for lettering. Limitations: no layers, just a few brushes. Can't wait for the next updates.
Fckd this one up big time. Was aiming for "white" but I was so deep in the zone that I swapped the "i" and "t" without realizing it. By the time I noticed, too late to turn back. But hey, I rolled with it. Made in Procreate and Nomad Sculpt.
Hide. A real wood stop motion holiday project. Poured a lot of time into this one. Shoutout to Rogier Wieland for the inspiration, his wooden stop-motion work completely captivated me. Had to try the technique with lettering myself. Shot with just my iPhone and a 40 euro studio kit from Amazon. Adobe Illustrator, xTool S1 Laser.
Made one huge rookie mistake in this one. Can you spot it? Tested lasering linoleum to see what kind of print quality I could get, even without fancy tools. Not perfect, but the handmade charm shines through. xTool S1, Adobe Illustrator.
Saw a lot of Illustrator-to-Firefly videos and was curious to test the workflow from Nomad Sculpt. Pretty cool for creating quick concepts. Nomad Sculpt + Adobe Firefly.
Alpha on primitives. Created a texture in Procreate, applied it to a circle in @nomadsculpt . Saved each frame in Nomad, composed the animation in Procreate. Entire process 100% on iPad. Simple, but a lot of fun.
Listened to some music and came up with this artwork for @siggismallz. Lettering done in Nomad Sculpt with a custom profile, additional details in Procreate.
Having fun with multiple tools. Started in Nomad Sculpt for the type, added a texture from Procreate, then took it to Adobe Aero for a quick AR version. Pretty straightforward workflow.
Is this art? Honestly this was more of an experiment without any prior ideas, just letting myself be carried by the flow. Various methods in Nomad Sculpt for the 3D letters, finishing touches in Procreate. Not 100% satisfied, but I enjoyed the process.
