The 2024 General Election isn't over on election night. County election offices are counting the remainder of early voting ballots and provisional ballots.
Then county election offices will begin canvassing and auditing results to ensure every valid vote was accurately counted.
FYI: Election officials across the country continue their tireless count of remaining House races, state legislature races, & battle initiatives. Elections take time, every vote must and WILL be counted, and democracy is working exactly as it should!
It took two years, two successful petition drives, and 200,000+ signatures from Nebraskans to ensure voters could decide at the ballot box whether they support giving public funds to private schools.
The answer – for the fourth time in the state’s electoral history – is NO.
Every voter should have their voice heard & their vote counted. 🗳️
Remember, it may take longer to count the votes and verify a winner in this year’s election — and that’s okay. We must #CountEveryVote.
#Nebraska polls close at 8 pm CST / 7 pm MST. If you're in line at your polling place then, you're entitled to vote. Stay in line! If you haven't returned your early mail-in ballot yet, get it to a secure county dropbox by 8 pm CST / 7 pm MST, or it won't count. ››
