I directed and edited ARTMS’ “bornstunner.mp4”!

It was a very unusual project, but just like the blonde girls with angel wings multiplying throughout the city, it was really exciting to see the 240p version of this video being copied and spread across the internet.

Digipedi team helped me a lot during the shoot. I’m really honored that I got to be a part of their story, which I’ve always loved.

I had a general plan for the edit beforehand, but mostly just followed my instincts as I worked, which was a really fun process.

Pixel memory by description alone sounds soooo incredibly good already it will probably end up being my fav on the album along with Blue blood cause wdym it kinda sounds like vocaloid.... ougghh 🤤

I have a terrible memory so bear with me if I’m not super descriptive 😹

This album is nothing like what ARTMS has ever done before. It’s such an exploration of their artistry both vocally, conceptually, and sonically.

The intro with Haseul and Jinsoul (From Wings to Soul) is such a chill vibe compared to the rest of the album. The tempo only shoots up from there.

Blue Blood is exactly what you would expect. Good build up, great vocals, very enjoyable. (My memory is fried on this one sorry haha)

Icarus Gang is even better than the clip provided. I especially enjoyed Choerry’s parts because it was definitely something she hasn’t done before. Lip was also amazing on the track. There’s parts of the track that are gritty and dark. It’s so excellent.

Hyper Crush got some guitar in it which I wasn’t expecting 🫪 amazing Heejin vocals on this one like always.

Pixel Memory is so high speed and I don’t know how else to describe it other than vocaloid. But it makes me feel in my chest the way that Virtual Angel does (but the songs are very different). The message about this song before was to ask ourselves if we are shaped by our own free will, or if we are shaped by society. They specially said that it is a “continuation of birth but in a different universe” and to keep that in mind.
