You really have to hand it to Anthony Pratt — he funnels $100,000 a year to Daniel Andrews through a cushy "fake job,” and in return he basically owns the Victorian Labor Party.

Now he’s got Anthony Albanese auditioning for the same lucrative post-politics gig.

Disgusting cronyism.

The solution is dead simple. For the handful of politicians still raking in those obscene taxpayer-funded pensions — some worth up to $400,000 a year — deduct every cent of outside income from that amount.

No double-dipping.

No special treatment.

I hope One Nation puts this policy front and centre.

Average old-age pensioners have their payments cut when they earn extra income - so why should different rules apply to pampered ex-Premiers and Prime Ministers like Dan Andrews and Albanese ?
