Once you grow up, you realize you don't want to be crazy in love. You want to be calm in love, stable in love, understood in love, safe in love. Your partner should give you peace of mind and reassurance, not constant little heart attacks, and high anxiety. Because like shoes, if it hurts you, then it's not your size.
Ben Askren shares what he hopes people can take away from his unbelievable journey back:
"At the end of the day, if you're going to live any kind of meaningful life, you're going to go through hard things.
A lot of how successful you are in life comes down to how you deal with those obstacles.
Whether you believe in God or not, struggle makes you better. Trials and tribulations build you up.
Hopefully, people can take something from that. Instead of whining or crying when something difficult comes your way, ask yourself, 'How do I deal with this, and how do I allow it to make me a better person?'"
Tell a man he’s handsome and watch how his face lights up. Now tell him you’re proud of him and watch his heart melt into pieces.
It really is the smallest things that please a man.
