The BIG debate: Generic Findom Girl vs Manscam/2DFD

Something I have been thinking about is how loads of subs in the manscam and 2D space always talk about how their findom is "correct" and hand-wave away regular findom as fake, a shell of the truth. Some might even call it fake findom, or just simping. Although that is true to an extent, there is some genuine findom within it - or at least there is an appeal.

Upon much consultation with members of the findom elite (being an actual NEET with free time, unlike other dommes who have jobs but act like this is their main source of income), I have come to a deeper understanding of the situation...

Generic Findom Girls:

The generic findom girl doesn't really understand findom. She has no real understanding of it. She sees it as simping or paying for attention. Even if she does get it on a bare level (read some Reddit threads on r/findom), she still won't ever fully get it.

With these findom girls, ( the couple hundo follower findom girls on twitter, we all know them) Oftentimes, they don't really even know how to do drains. And if you're a real findom addict, you need to do the work. She won't be able to exploit your alienation or have an understanding of trauma responses, depression, internet addiction, etc.

In her head, she is taking money because it's JUST a kink, and not literal self-harm. Hence, you abuse yourself on her behalf.

Manscam/2DFD:

With manscam/2DFD, it's the opposite. The appeal is recognition. You choose your abusers based on stuff like captions and what they signal.

This is why accounts are often themed, touching on different trauma responses. One might focus on humiliation (think Terral, Pip, etc.), while some are more cute, which is another trauma response - going the exact opposite of what you are (think Mommy Squishy).

In a weird way, the caption and signaling show a deep understanding of the reader. The reader chooses to engage with accounts that touch their issues and triggers.

But it's not just this that subs like. It's not just that generic girls suck because they don't understand that findom, for you, is more than a kink - it's the sexualization of your station or place in life, how you abuse your life to jerk off to being abused.

It's that you're enabling someone who oftentimes gets it.

Something dumb I’ve been thinking about:

I hate captions that center the person writing them. It creates a flawed mental framing around Findom.

“Send to me.”

“I’m your Goddess.”

“Serve me.��

It places the domme at the center of what’s happening, when none of it is about bdsm.

Frankly, I push back on the idea that dommes and subs even really exist in this space.

If people sent because they were simply born submissive, we’d see WAY more femsubs. We don’t. The few femsubs in this space openly make more money off being femsubs than 90% of dommes. All woman in this space either are making money or they’re tgirls. There are almost no born women participating on the sending side in any meaningful way.

That’s why I think it’s important to center the person reading the caption. Better yet, center the things about that person that brought them here in the first place.

Because this isn’t about being submissive. It’s not about a domme you really like. It’s about you. Your depression, your alienation, your loneliness, and the perverse ways in which you’ve learned to cope with being yourself.

Nobody makes you click send.

Whatever domme you “serve,” if you weren’t depressed, isolated, lonely, sexually perverse, degenerate, terminally online, or whatever flavor of fucked up you’ve become, you wouldn’t do what you do.

Turn your phone off for 15 minutes and sit with your thoughts. Deep down, you know why you send.

Once this identity is latched onto, there is then the romanticization of the identity.

Much like in techno-domme there is the romanticization of surrendering your device, the same idea is applied here.

The surrender is comforting.

If you're an incel, the inevitability is comforting.

If you're BNWO, the white women getting put out is comforting because it's inevitable and removes agency from the person.

Next, once you've found your label and romanticized it, you turn yourself into the porn.

Your life, having this inevitable outlook, becomes the porn.

Every relapse is inevitable. Hence, it's porn.

The porn on your Twitter feed is inevitable, so it's normal. And this being your normal becomes porn. So you jerk off to your life and the perceived inevitable place you've ended up in.

Next, when you've pushed yourself so far, chances are that at this point you're isolated, and this insane narrative you've built for the reason you're lonely is all you have.

So you avoid recovery.

How could you turn Twitter off if your whole identity is on there?

How could you delete Discord for real friends?

How could you stop engaging with incel content?

It's all you have.

And given your life is now so intertwined with this identity, how could you trade it all just to go back to normal?

Just a regular life.

No narrative.

No corruption arc.

Just ordinary.

Devoid of the noise of the communities you've found yourself in.

Just a responsible adult.

Anyway, just some thoughts on internet culture and findom that I've been thinking about.
