Architect of the New World! The Secrete of Monster Hunter World Iceborne... https://t.co/GYgOxs4d3s via @YouTube
@TweetingGaruga 5th Gen gets to much flank for this. Since the endgame of all the game in that generation revolved around ED it ended up bloating the cast of ED lvl monster. However whenever the time came to show an Apex Vs ED/ED lvl monster they made no qualms in showing the clear gap in power.
@MonsterStauk Yeah me neither, I for 1 think they’re both weaker than Xeno, but regardless both have impressive showings. With either one being physically strong enough to cause crustal movements. As well as Zorah’s bioenergy threaten to level the New World continent.
@ES4613424423@paulbarcos2 already did a wonderful rendition of this fight. One can only hope we get to see something like it in the future!

@SuperGojira93 Furious & Savage both have quotes in MHWI the Official Complete Works that clarify their TW as draws. I’m unaware of any statement like that existing for Velkhana. Therefore I’m unclear what’s the justification use to claim Velkhana TW is a draw, but Kush’s & Fire Mane’s aren’t.
@Ashe_3h He's about 75m³, assuming specific gravity of 1 that'd come up to 75T. Which slots him nicely between Rathalos & Diablos when it comes to size. With the former being 58m³ & the latter 126m³.
@Ashe_3h Yup, the model accurate. Looking back Tigrex has always had a fairly big average size for his rank. Except for parts in 4th Gen were they randomly decided to shrink his average to 17m. However, the model should be accurate to Iceborne dimensions.
@Ashe_3h Yes! For some reason I thought he was introduce in MH3U instead of MHFU. Also you got me curios how Tigrex would compare size wise to the Wilds cast, so here's so mock ups.
@Ashe_3h The claw statement is from Hunter’s Encyclopedia 3, so should only be applicable up until MH Tri. Meaning it’s subject to: the Raths, Blos Wyverns, Basarios/Gravios, Khezu, Nargacuga, Giginox & Barioth. By “mid-size flying wyvern” they’re likely just excluding Akantor.
@Ashe_3h I agree! especially since Barioth’s Amber Fang are described as such. I guess if it’s any consolation Tigrex does have the largest claws of any mid size flying wyvern. So maybe with enough force they can get through Gammoth’s defenses.
@MonsterStauk I guess this would make Gammoth one of the stronger “Apex Tier” monsters. Considering most apexes would rather wait out a Tigrex. Rather than face something as formidable as the nomadic wyvern. Of course there shared history plays a role in her temp, but she’s still ≥ Tigrex.
@MonsterStauk Ah! My bad I could’ve sworn it was from the Rise book. I interpreted the quote as most Gammoth are equal to Tigrex yet some can surpass the flying wyvern. Is that interpretation valid or should the more accurate interpretation be that they’re just equals.
@Ashe_3h Unleashed Arkveld is the new special state achieved by Arch-Temp Arkveld. In which Arkveld masters its latent Guardian abilities. If World is anything to go by. Based Master Rank Arkveld should in inherit his High Rank Arch-Temp abilities.
@MonsterStauk Normally I’d say his lackluster performances against Rey Dau would automatically disqualify him from being ED lvl. However, the abilities introduced in the Arch Temp fight will likely be present in MR individuals. Meaning the presence of Unleashed Arkveld changes the calculus.
