Today = National Potato Day! My dad grew up in Idaho and so the main starch in my family growing up was the potato (vs rice). When I went to college, I learned how to microwave them for the faux baked-potato effect. And I still eat them. Mmmm.

Today = 1st day of #school. I got a temp job #teaching at North Moore High School and get to work with #seniors. Yeah!
Today, I had them #write about a recent event - any format. Most chose #COVID, and most opted to create essays. #Essays? Not my first #choice, but okay.

Today is Homeless Animal Day! Our cats came from an animal shelter and they have been very good pets for us. Our kids want more ("100s of kitties, please") but we have a local shelter they can volunteer at to get their fix.

Yesterday, we met as a congregation!again! We were more spaced out, and the meeting was less than an hour so people could disinfect everything afterward, but it still gave me a spirit of peace and comfort.
