@pully8@KiamaBlowhole The minister replied, ‘I don’t think that’s true.’
It’s not a fire sale, it’s maintaining ced care in our area, owned by those other than council. We don’t have the scale to make it work.
It was an immense pleasure to meet Mayor of Kiama, Councillor Neil Reilly, Mayor of West Torrens Councillor @MayorCoxon, Mayor of Shoalhaven Councillor @1amandafindley, Mayor of Taichung, Lu Shiow-yen among other Mayors and Deputy Mayors from across the world.
They were very impressed with the CM @ArvindKejriwal's disruptive policies.
We have to learn to learn from each other's successes, if our objective is to grow as a community, as a nation.
@KiamaBlowhole@kiamagreens Our community thanks our Greens Councillors who voted for this sale. Recognising the value of keeping aged care in our area. It was hard for them, but they did the right thing.
@lassie_welsh@Lisaisalooseun1 @RuncibleH Not a policy at all. Just a wish. And by the way, my health is, like your mates’s comments, not for public comment.
What’s the point of public consultation if the community is ignored? I met with Kiama community campaigners outside Parliament protesting against the rezoning of rural land at South Kiama despite overwhelming opposition. Precious rural land must be protected from overdevelopment!
Notice of Motion from Clr Neil Reilly
That council commence a Reconciliation Action Plan for the Kiama local government area, working collaboratively with interested members of our community, seeking direct assistance from the Gerringong First Stories Aboriginal Advisory Group.
A new team has formed to challenge the status quo of council; ‘Team Reilly’.
This team is led by councillor Neil Reilly who says that each and every member of the team has the right attitude and aptitude to serve as a representative on our council.
