@gordperks I was partially inspired by the annual debate at #TOcouncil on what cuts needed to be made to keep property tax rates at lowest in the province
The LCBO ended its agreement with Air Miles at the end of the day on March 31. The Crown corporation is looking to implement a replacement loyalty program "in the coming months."

This is foolish. The TTC has said we need these streetcars NOW just to keep up with population growth. No other supplier can get them to us in time. Having two different vehicle designs if MUCH more costly and inefficient.
Neither Toronto nor Ontario take public transit seriously except as a vehicle for political advantage. Fundamental changes of governance and funding structures desperately needed. First step: a new ethic that puts passengers first.
For three years, former city manager Peter Wallace warned the city is at the edge of a fiscal cliff. We have draft reports of a never published roadmap he wrote for council to steer them away from the edge: https://t.co/t3frdQJASQ
And Wallace, in his typical bluntness, wrote this (which didn't make the final report cut): "The city offers excellent services at low taxes. This is a result of effective management and prudent fiscal practices. It is also a result, however, of good luck." /6
I'm happy to debate Mr. Tory any time, as I have a number of times already with a number of different candidates. It's up to organizers to determine who's on stage. But after the upheaval of the last few weeks, we need more democracy, more debate and more accountability—not less.
We need shovels in the ground on new transit projects immediately to ease congestion and cut commute times across the city. My plan will do that. Read more: https://t.co/WV8CHVdxHj

"The city is too unaffordable. We have vast amounts of underutilized spaces. We can leverage our assets to change the housing market, tilting away from luxury condos to what people can afford," says @jen_keesmaat, promising to build 100,000 purpose built rental units. #topoli
That the community was dependent on that space and those programs did not just become apparent today. As @dugilbo wrote, the community has been flagging concerns about loss of youth space: https://t.co/XawHaLkM6D
So, I made this. Because I know I'll be casting my vote for @jen_keesmaat . I hope, if you live here, you'll do your research, and cast your vote for someone who inspires you. Thanks for reading my little political rant. #Keesmaat4mayor#topoli
Has your commute improved over the past four years? I have a plan to deliver an integrated transit network that weaves together subways, LRTs, streetcars, and buses to shorten people’s commutes in every neighbourhood. See my plan: https://t.co/WV8CHVdxHj #Keesmaat4Mayor
