This week, the @USDOL took action to prevent employers from misclassifying workers – meaning more workers will earn full and legally earned wages.
The rule is a massive win for working families like ours and will hold unscrupulous contractors accountable.

You should have seen the Hansen kids' eyes pop out of their heads when I told them that apprentices in HVAC/Refrigeration at the Seattle Area Pipe Trades start at $33/hour (!), get paid from their first hour in training (!!), get full medical for family and pension (!!!)…
So fun! Union People Jeopardy category, but irony too cause union people are often put in jeopardy in disputes with powerful multi-national corporations
Happy Labor Day! This year we celebrate the Brothers and Sisters who came before us, whose contributions paved the way for future generations to keep our great union strong.
Really interesting matchups in LD 40. Building trades backing the most moderate D in the election. There's no R in the race. Building Trades are backing some Republicans elsewhere, too.

Today, General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo issued a memo announcing that she will ask the Board to rule that mandatory meetings, including captive audience meetings, are a violation of the National Labor Relations Act. https://t.co/zW0vYOEinQ
Here are the 6 bills the Governor vetoed yesterday. Every one of them passed with a veto-proof majority, several unanimously. Will #waleg pursue veto overrides?

@VladGutman Interesting. This seems pretty pointless. If cars need to be carried by other forms of transportation (platform car), it seems like you should just substitute mass transit.
@KarenKeiser1@JoeBiden Fantastic representation, Heather Kurtenbach is a great advocate for infrastructure investment and increasing diversity in the trades.
