Hi, everybody.

I’m pleased to let you know that we’re going to release a lecture a week from my extensive tour archive, beginning this Sunday and then repeating every Sunday after that.

This allows me to do something interesting and useful while I’m otherwise incapacitated. My health is such at the moment that I can’t really return to podcasting or public lecturing. But we recorded these with the express intention of preparing them for release, and we’ve all determined that this is a very good time to do that.

So that’s what’s going to happen.

I hope you find them useful and compelling. They’ll be particularly attractive to those of you who liked my early YouTube work that was very lecture focused. It’s a return to my roots, I suppose, in some ways. And I’m as happy as I can be under the current circumstances, given my ill health, to be participating in this process and to have these lectures prepared for release.

“Friends, family, anyone who’s been following Amanda’s story — thank you from the bottom of my heart for every share, every donation, every kind word. Your support is literally keeping me standing.
The weekend before last was one of the most bittersweet and painful of my life.
I spent Saturday with Amanda, just the two of us — talking, holding hands, remembering the good days we’ve shared over the last three years. Then on Sunday I drove her to the hospice so they can finally get her pain relief right and make her comfortable in a proper bed. Seeing her settled there broke me in ways I still can’t put into words. Hospice means they’re preparing for the end, and that truth is crushing both of us.
But even in the middle of this grief, I’m still fighting for her lifelong dream: a motorhome trip to Scotland so she can fish at the lakes she loves, stop wherever she feels like it, see the countryside she’s always wanted to see, and feel safe and warm the whole way.
Amanda has dreamed of going to Scotland her entire life. She’s never made it there — life, circumstances, health, everything kept getting in the way. Two years ago I reintroduced her to fishing, and watching her light up on the water is one of the purest joys I’ve ever known. We’ve been friends for three years now, and that joy is something I want her to have again — more than once if we can — before time runs out.
This trip would be so bittersweet for both of us. Every lake we stop at, every fish she casts, every quiet moment looking at the hills… will be filled with love, laughter, and memories we can hold onto forever. But every mile will also remind us that this might be the last time. Fate has taken so much already — I want to give her this one dream, live it with her, and keep some of those stolen moments for us both.
We’re still short of the goal on GiveSendGo to rent the motorhome. Every pound, every share gets us closer to making this happen.
