Always look past the primary endpoint headline! KDIGO is useful, but you must understand drug physiology to read it.
MERCURI-2 nearly halved KDIGO AKI, but whether SGLT2is prevent AKI beyond oliguria remains unsettled. The peri-op 👑is still up for grabs.
