As a kid raised on soap operas, Mr. Geary was incredibly important to me. I was born well after Luke and Laura’s wedding but privileged enough to grow up in the internet age. So when I didn’t understand why something was a big deal on GH I could google it and find blogs (1/?)

He and Genie helped me see people as complicated creatures with dark pasts and infinitely possible futures. I loved Luke. I hated Luke. And to this day, because of him. I see a character I hate and think “what an actor. To make me really believe they are this gross…” (8/9)
