@bandherbooks Kids that age freaking love balloons. We blew up a ton and they just threw them at each other. The long skinny ones are good too; even if you can’t make balloon animals, swords are super easy and they can’t do much damage with them.
She tested negative yesterday! And I’ve tested negative every day for a week, so I think I’m in the clear. She’s ok to start school Tuesday and then the rest of the week is remote aside from swimming and band after school.
Kiddo has Covid. School hasn’t even started yet, but she’s had swim team and marching band practices and can’t mask for either. So far it’s just a very runny nose, so that’s not too bad. She’s so upset that she might have given it to other people though.
@DiabolicalSpuds I used to go as a kid but don’t live near one now. Not a fish fan but the chicken cooked in the same batter was amazing and I loved the hush puppies.
@RdotSpoon It’s annoying, but I’m not helping because I totally just ordered a walking pad today because they made a point of mentioning that the weight limit is much higher than usual and I’ve been so fed up that most exercise equipment is only for skinny people.
Actually managed to check off almost everything on my weekend to-do list! Not because I was actually terribly productive, but I’ve gotten better about making realistically short lists.
Trying not to fall asleep at my desk after waking up early to get the kid to swim practice and then coming to work early because I was already out. Annoyed at boss for forgetting/neglecting to take care of something yesterday and at coworker because she’s late without texting.
@morninggloria Same. Kid and her dad had it, but they isolated at his house and I stayed ok (despite a work exposure the same day her dad was exposed and briefly being around them when they were first symptomatic; I had just gotten boosted). I still mask indoors.
