@KChenoweth I'm not opposed to the use of buprenorphine for chronic pain; it should be one option available. I've got some CPPs who do well on it. What I don't buy is that opioids don't work for chronic pain unless it's a new formulation with an active patent.

I was @CIA spokesman when @NYTimes relaxed its standards for publishing the names of or identifying information about @CIA officers. I fought it. It's still wrong today. Whistleblowers in particular should be treated like newspaper sources, which the NYTimes staunchly protects.

Nice to see Gov @SteveSisolak signed the Kratom Consumer Protection Act in to law in Nevada. Why does FDA find this so difficult? Set age limits, create mandatory testing and marketing standards, leave access to Kratom for adults legal.

Really solid article @JerodMacEvoy on the KCPA. The one thing missing is that the majority of Kratom advocates, advocacy groups and a large portion of those marketing it also want the regulation. The only ones refusing to regulate it are the FDA.
