As temperatures remain dangerously high, we're bringing heat relief directly to New Yorkers.

Our Cooling Outreach On-Location (COOL) vans are operating across all five boroughs, providing water, cooling supplies, first aid, and transportation to cooling centers for those who need it most.

The City has made thousands of wellness calls to older adults and we won’t stop until we get past this heat.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Thursday discussed the latest crime stats from the NYPD, which stated that NYC had its lowest number of murders, shooting victims and shooting incidents “in recorded history.”

“Each of these numbers, each of these lives tell the story of a city that is safer and a city that is more welcoming to all. A city where a Knicks championship dominates the headlines, not tragedy on the corner,” the mayor said.
