Property tax is just a tax on unrealized gains and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

You buy a house for $300k. Years later, market goes up, assessor says it's worth $600k now. Boom—your tax bill jumps, even though you haven't sold a damn thing, pulled equity, or seen a dime of cash from that "gain." You're paying every year on paper wealth that only exists on Zillow or some county spreadsheet.

We lose our minds when politicians float taxing unrealized stock gains for billionaires ("muh forced sales!"), but grandma gets hit with the same thing on her family home and we're supposed to call it "paying for schools and roads"? Nah.

It's a wealth tax dressed up as a service fee, and it only feels fair because we've normalized it for centuries. Once the mortgage is paid off, you should OWN it outright—no annual ransom to the county just because your neighborhood got trendy.

Abolish property taxes on primary residences. Tax consumption if you must, but stop pretending "ownership" means you rent from the government forever.

Im doing all the GIVEAWAYS TODAY!

Here are some of my "new years resolutions". It would probably do you a bit of good if you have similar.

1. Dont engage with rage bait and engagement farmers. Even replying helps them out. In fact, I will unfollow them all.

2. Unfollow anyone posting useless trash like "gm" and "I have $10k to invest, which ticker". These are all just engagement baits.

3. Follow anyone that is worth following. Something entertaining, thats not AI slop. Something useful, thats not ai slop, which leads to...

4. Unfollow all accounts that mostly just post AI slop. They dont deserve engagement or even a follow.

5. Unfollow any known scammers. Most of the are rage/engagement baiters anyway, so they would be unfollowed already :)

6. Be positive. Since I will unfollow all the losers, I dont have to be hostile towards them. They can die off in their own corner.

7. Once all negativity is removed, the path will be a lot clearer. Easier to have good mental health, focus, and locked in to be successful this year!

8. I wont get rugged, not even once.

9. Take profits on winners, its never too early. For everything that goes 100x after you take profits, there are 200 that never do.
