Mental health presentations are increasingly common in our A&Es.
This is so important. Physical activity is important in many aspects of health inc protection, therapy and rehab.
Secondary school kids are the ages where exercise drops off. Important to keep them active

Yet when F2s moan about no jobs and I point this out no one explains why we aren’t inundated with UK applicants.
Teesside may not be Richmond but it’s a good job.

@DrJoFranklin @valhumphreys51 @stone3Clare @Roddy_Neilson @CLawthom We have a PA who works on the NP rota. Yet it is OK to have ANPs with nursing degrees and clinical Skills course but not a PA with a specific post grad degree
It is also OK for paramedics to be practitioners in UTCs.
Stop picking on dedicated workers. Not all are wannabe doctors

@Dr_Done_ Our minors R seen by urgent care practitioners (UCP) X-rays reviewed by radiographer and red dot system.
Reviewed by UCP and discharged.
Report often same day by reporting radiographer.
Radiologist is deskilled at MSK plain radiology can concentrate on complex things
No issue.

@medicalmodelbri Sounds like the right diagnosis was made.
The problem lies in the referral pathway and delay in surgical opinion which should be a shared responsibility between the ED referrer not chasing up and the SDU coordinator not informing the surgical team.

@JanjuaAdam I would turn this round and ask what the knee pain was that required an orthopaedic assessment.
They have assessed and advised doesn’t need surgical intervention and suggested a route you could take. That is the opinion you referred for so you can choose to take it or not.
