U.S. NEW CAR PAYMENTS HIT RECORD $772/MONTH AS AFFORDABILITY CRISIS DEEPENS
The average monthly payment for a new car has reached a record $772.
Buyers are increasingly opting for 6-, 7-, and even 8-year loans to manage rising vehicle prices.
One in five financed new-car buyers now pays more than $1,000 per month.
With higher costs for housing, insurance, food, and student loans, affordability pressures are mounting, raising concerns over consumer credit quality and future auto demand.

Retail investors appear to be rotating out of gold and Bitcoin into semiconductor stocks:
Since April, US gold and Bitcoin ETFs have posted -$12 billion in cumulative outflows.
Over the same period, US semiconductor ETFs have attracted +$20 billion in cumulative inflows.
This trend accelerated in mid-May, with outflows from gold and Bitcoin funds more than tripling.
At the same time, inflows into semiconductor ETFs have doubled.
Meanwhile, the largest US gold-backed ETF, $GLD, is down -13% since the start of April, while the largest Bitcoin ETF, $IBIT, is down -12%.
Over the same period, the semiconductor ETFs, $SOXX and $SMH, are up +81% and +60%, respectively.
Retail is driving markets like never before.
On August 11, the supply of SpaceX shares jumps from 5% to 25% in a single day.
That's 5 times more shares hitting the market overnight, from insiders who bought in years ago at a fraction of today's price.
This is what happened to Facebook in 2012.
After their lockup expired, the stock fell about 50% in just a few weeks. The business was growing fast at the time. The drop came purely from supply hitting the market faster than buyers could absorb.
Most people holding SpaceX have no plan for August 11.
Three steps to prepare for it now:
1. Print the unlock schedule and know every date new shares hit the market.
2. Check if SpaceX is more than 10% of your portfolio.
3. Decide your exit price now, before emotion kicks in.
I'm watching closely.
Definitely not buying yet.
What just happened?
In just 27 minutes, the Nasdaq 100 just fell -1,000 points and the S&P 500 erased -$1 TRILLION without any major headlines.
The Nasdaq opened +1% higher then fell -3% between 9:30 AM and 9:57 AM ET.
What does it all mean? Let us explain.

Water usage has been a hot topic in the AI data center world, but the numbers may surprise you.
According to the Manhattan Institute, data centers use 0.2 percent of daily water usage in the U.S. and that number has dramatically decreased in the past few years due to a new method: liquid cooling.
By moving to 45Β°C liquid cooling, AI factories in favorable climates can use dry coolers instead of conventional cooling-tower-based systems, cutting facility cooling water use from roughly 2.6M gallons per MW per year to near zero.
Liquid cooling enables AI factories to be both water and energy efficient, while creating opportunities for heat reuse and dispersal to local communities, allowing these factories to become energy grid assets.
