What a run! @Ultra_Damo finishes in 4th place at the 330k Tor des Geants®, one of the world’s toughest ultramarathons.
He obliterated his time from last year by 16 hours! Beer and tea at the end 🍻 ☕️

Today we kickstarted a new revolution - with the launch of an electric airline. Yes, actual passenger carrying planes powered by electricity.
Our electricity will be made from the wind and sun, green electricity powering emission-free flying. It’s a world-first and vital last step in the electrification of transport - enabling carbon-free living without compromise.
It doesn’t get much better than that. Have a look at the piece from the @guardian here: https://t.co/4L6t7W46Vq
Nice to see the deal I spent much of last year working on announced! With £150m from @pollencap, @OctopusEV has now raised £650m to decarbonise road transport & help get more & more people into EVs in the most affordable way possible https://t.co/QCx9WDMvbo
Why are mobile phone co’s able to keep charging the same price after the end of contract. Customer has fully paid for the phone, but the company is able to generate super profits due to customer forgetting or misunderstanding. Seems totally incompatible with @TheFCA principles.
@amyrlewin You still need some way of democratising access to first angel/pre-seed cheques for the vast majority without the personal capital or friends and family money needed to start something. The best accelerators provide that platform.
@DamienLane1 But they’ve turned an entirely edible food container into something that has disposable packaging?! The collar should be waffle cone and then this wins best invention of the 21st C
I would love to avoid getting party political. But this is so obscene and immoral that it would be wrong to hold back. Please do not ever vote for anyone in any party who even stayed quiet about the awfulness of these tax cuts for the rich at this time https://t.co/Br52FZ7qDC
Quite the opposite. We don’t know how this would have played out if our cities were better designed for active transport. The most common reason for not using share bikes/scooters is a (pretty justified) fear of traffic. Radical interventions still needed in use of urban space.
Brutal how precipitous collapse of the big micro mobility companies has been. Hope we learn the right lessons. The sector & asset heavy biz models aren’t the problem. Blitzscaling before fundamentals are understood isn’t the way to build something as important as transport.
Likewise we need cities and policymakers to stay brave when the next wave of innovation comes. Absolutely the wrong conclusion from this faltering experiment would be to close the doors to new models & modes.
Have you applied yet? I'm looking for an analyst to work with me on presentations and articles, plus helping out with investing and advisory activities. Two-year gig, suit someone early-career who is STEM-literate, ethical and intellectually omnivorous. https://t.co/0Hkc39prM4
