The Midland Main Line has reopened for passenger services following recovery and repair work at the site of the #Bedford train collision.

Our focus remains on supporting the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Once the carriages are removed, the on-site team will move into the next phase of the operation of a full track renewal.

EMR has established a dedicated call line for those customers and their families who were directly involved in the incident on Friday night. The line is staffed by trained colleagues who will be able to help with queries including the return of personal possessions and, from Monday 22 June refer customers and families to the British Red Cross should further support be helpful. Kirk Hill bridge work is on schedule, roads are due to re-open in July, work completes in Sept. This means larger freight containers can use a more direct path and ensures the area is ready for electrification if funding resumes. Our video shows how the work is progressing.👇
