This dev @afrocanm almost ended my Web3 career. 😂

Before I give you guys the main gist, let’s go back to where it all started. (Grab your popcorn)

Way back in 2023/2024, I came across @GOARADIO_ through @Big2dor .

Back then, Tudor shilled it in a group chat where myself and @Kenechuukwu_ were members.

Tudor shilled it and we all locked in.

I remember we pushed hard because we were supporting our Nigerian brother. 😂

In fact, one of us in the group even dumped heavily on all of us and it caused serious quarrel between me and him because we felt betrayed.

Yet the rest of us didn’t dump.

We held.

Me especially.

Because of my background as a DeFi researcher, I’ve always had a soft spot for utility projects.

At the time, this dev was building a play-to-earn project and the token was $GOA.

I was intrigued.

Not just by the token, but by the vision.

So I kept investing.

Even as the token kept dumping, I kept buying the floor.

Premium mumu behavior. 😂

Around this same time, my friend @Kenechuukwu_ was also investing heavily into the token.

I’m talking over 2 $BNB.

Beyond him, I even got members of my community to buy because I wanted us to be properly positioned when the project eventually got things right.

For the love and support, I started jumping on their spaces.

Speaking.

Defending the project.

Promoting it.

Eventually the dev and I became friends.

Little did I know that the worst was still loading.

At the time, I was running a media brand called @content_oracle .

The dev and I started talking more frequently and he offered to partner with my project in exchange for equity for my company.

Documents were signed.

Everything looked official.

At that point, I thought I had finally seen my way out of the trenches.

I had no idea the trenches were just warming up. 😂

With Content Oracle, we started creating content for @GOARADIO_ .

We joined spaces.

Covered updates.

Pushed awareness.

The plan was simple.

They were expecting investment.

Once the investment came in, my team and I would get paid while still retaining our equity.

So naturally, we doubled our work rate.

And to be fair, the work was showing.

Some of the people around the project even commented that their social media presence had improved significantly.

I even had my face attached to the project as a brand ambassador.

That’s how invested I was.

And when I say invested, I mean INVESTED.

At one point, I used money I was supposed to use to buy a laptop to buy more $GOA.

Ahn ahn.

Mumu never finish for my body then. 😂😂😂

Sadly, the expected investment never came through.

Then came the first major pivot.

The dev announced that they wanted to migrate to another chain.

To make that happen, funds were needed.

So company shares started getting sold.

And because I believed in the vision, I brought people in.

My friend @Dillion_Empire bought shares.

My then furniture boss bought shares.

I bought shares.

We were literally sending this man money because we believed in what he was building.

Then came another opportunity.

Again, I gathered investors.

Again, people bought.

Again, we trusted the process.

Little did we know that things were about to go completely left.

From time to time, this guy would also ask for financial assistance.

And lowkey I’d help because, in my mind, na my Nigerian brother.

I trusted him.

I believed in the vision.

I believed things would eventually work out.

Plot twist.

My Nigerian brother apparently had other plans for me and everyone else that believed in him.

Things started going south when the Polygon launch failed.

After the presale.

After the fundraising.

After the promises.

The launch kept getting postponed.

Then eventually it never happened.

Then another promise came.

This time it was Arbitrum.

We were told investment was coming.

We were told to buy presale again.

Guess what we did?

We bought again. 💔
