SpaceX is taking aggressive measures to ensure there is no 🇨🇳 influence on its operations or supply chains to safeguard the production of technologies critical to American national security.

Elon Musk-led SpaceX has sent teams to audit existing and prospective suppliers and is instructing partners across its vast global supply chain not to assign or employ 🇨🇳 nationals at facilities producing products for SpaceX, or to use systems or equipment made by Chinese companies.

"One of the most important things SpaceX looks at is whether a plant, even though it is located outside China, has any managers, employees or executives from China. They require those personnel to be removed from any facilities and projects serving them. Otherwise, [SpaceX] warns them that it will not be able to place orders."

SpaceX does not source key components or parts from Chinese suppliers or from Chinese-based facilities, even if they are owned by non-Chinese suppliers.

"None of our equipment can use components or parts supplied by Chinese companies. The staff and engineers we send to support [SpaceX] also have to be non-Chinese nationals. If we fail to do so, our product line will fail to be verified."

Several industry managers described how SpaceX conducts detailed audits of suppliers, including inspecting factory systems such as surveillance and networking equipment. Any equipment from Hikvision, TP-Link or other Chinese companies must be replaced, even though the plants themselves are located outside of China.

“We work hard to adhere to the requests and it is understandable. The technology is a matter of national security, especially as SpaceX also has commercial partnerships with NASA.”

SpaceX is also working to build what it calls an NCNT — non-China, non-Taiwan — supply chain to reduce the risk of disruptions in the event of heightened geopolitical tensions across the Taiwan Strait. Beijing has not ruled out the use of force to bring the self-ruled island under its control.

SpaceX is a key partner on many US space missions, including NASA's Artemis program, making its products strategically important to national security.

SpaceX's efforts to exclude Chinese personnel and suppliers from its operations are more aggressive than those of consumer electronics makers, such as HP and Dell, which are working on building two separate supply chains, one within China to meet local demand and one outside China for other markets. Musk-led automaker Tesla is pursuing a similar strategy of dual supply chains.

As much as I want people to know about the full horror, traumatizing random viewers will not force the needed change.

Western politicians and news outlets that chose silence must be named and held accountable. Their refusal to confront this is not neutrality—it is complicity.

Most “news” sites ignore or bury it, and the few headlines deliberately minimize the massacre of Christians while erasing the jihadists’ identity and motives.

Last Sunday night in Naridon village, Kaduna State, Nigeria, armed Fulani jihadists stormed a Christian farming community. Dozens of Christians, including children, were slaughtered. The lifeless bodies of Christian babies and toddlers offer only a small glimpse of the unimaginable suffering inflicted on Christians every day across Africa and Asia.

Western leaders who never miss a chance to lecture their nations about “multilateralism, diversity and inclusion” never call emergency sessions at the UN Security Council or Human Rights Council when Christians are butchered. They never push real sanctions on the governments and networks that embolden this slaughter.

They look away while the Christian death toll climbs to genocidal levels.

Their actions matter. Their inaction matters more.

History will judge them all.
