As I reflected on Ezekiel 37 today, I was reminded that God sees differently than we do. Where we see dry bones, He sees a future. Where we see endings, He sees restoration. Never let your circumstances have the final word. God still speaks life into hopeless places. 🔥
The valley of dry bones reminds us: what looks finished to us may still be part of God’s plan. Israel saw hopelessness. God saw restoration. When circumstances seem impossible, trust God’s promises more than what you can see. 🔥📖 #Ezekiel37#Faith#Hope

Many know what it feels like to be overlooked. David did too. Yet while others saw a shepherd, God saw a king. Keep serving, praying, and trusting. People may miss your faithfulness, but God never does.

In a world obsessed with numbers, God values faithfulness. Every prayer, every act of kindness, every step of obedience matters to Him. What may seem small on earth carries eternal weight in heaven. Stay faithful. God sees. ✝️ #Faithfulness#Church
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat ? or, What shall we drink ? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed ? For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” [Matthew 6:31-34]
Beloved in Christ
Jesus, the Son of God, tells us we can not serve both the Father and earthly things. Think of birds, neither do they sow nor reap yet God feeds them, now Jesus speaks to all of us, he tells us “Be not anxious”, throughout the verse the phrase “take no thought” is repeated, this is Jesus telling us multiple times to not worry about what tomorrow will bring because we are already cared for.
Anxiety is discussed, Jesus is not simply referring to it as “worry less” or that it is “unpleasant”, anxiety is treated as a disobedience, why ? Because at its roots it is distrust, it is unfaithfulness. When we think about the things tomorrow might bring, from food and drink to bills, we are saying “the Lord is not enough, my God can not provide”.
But with this we are not scolded by Jesus for needing all these things, but rather he corrects us with gentleness and says “Your Heavenly Father knows that you need these things.” Before we ask in prayer for something God already knows what it is we need.
Brothers and sisters, the peace that Jesus offers is not the peace of denial—“Everything will be fine.” It is the peace of dominion—“Everything is in My Father’s hands, and He loves me.”
Cast your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. Trade your worry for worship. Trade your striving for seeking. Trade tomorrow’s imagined troubles for today’s sufficient grace.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things—whatever you truly need—will be added to you, and the God of peace will be with you.
Amen.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.” [Proverbs 3:5-9]
Beloved, these five short verses are a spiritual manifesto for the people of God in every age. They are medicine for the proud heart, a compass for the confused mind, and a promise for the fearful soul. We naturally lean on our intellect, our experience, our feelings, our politics, our bank accounts. God says, “Stop propping yourself up with created things; fall completely on Me.” Partial trust is disguised distrust. If you’re still clutching your backup plan while you pray, you haven’t trusted; you’ve hedged your bets.
We are commanded to acknowledge the Lord in every aspect of our lives, and when we do this God promises to make our path straight, but straight doesn’t always mean easy or quick. Straight means we will not face dead ends of self will or detours of disobedience. Look at the path God showed Moses, he parted the Red Sea and crossed, this was no easy thing, to wander the desert, to be hunted by the pharaoh’s army, but not once did Moses doubt in the path God was taking him on, and neither should we.
Brothers and sisters, the world is screaming at us to trust ourselves: “Follow your heart. Be authentic. You do you.” The path to life is the exact opposite: distrust yourself, trust God with everything, acknowledge Him in every detail of your life, and watch Him direct your steps with healing, peace, and overflowing joy.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.”
May that be the anthem of our lives until we see Him face to face.
Amen.
“For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name ? And he answered, saying, my name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and were chocked in the sea.” [Mark 5:8-13]
This is one of the most dramatic exorcisms in scripture. Imagine this, a boat lands on the banks of Galilee, the sun barely up and the first thing the apostles see is a naked man running towards them, chains dangling as if he is a prisoner of hell. This is no ordinary day but a collision of the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light.
The man recognises Jesus and falls to his knees, now look at the verse, Jesus commands “Come out of the man”, he is not negotiating or asking. This man is not simply occupied, but possessed by a multitude of demonic. Yet one sentence from the Son of God and the entire regiment of hell must obey, one sentence is enough. Brothers and sisters, what ever is tormenting you, whether it is addiction, despair, lust, greed, bitterness or fear, remember this, Jesus who spoke to legion now speaks to your chaos. Jesus is alive, his authority has not diminished, the throne is still occupied, and at his his name every knee shall bow, in heaven, earth and hell.
If we look at the part where the demons beg Jesus to cast them into the pigs, Our Lord and Saviour grants them this request even though he has the power to cast them out into the abyss, why ? Because Jesus is not only sovereign but he is merciful, even to the agents of evil.
If Jesus would hear and grant the pleas of the demonic, he will surely not turn a deaf ear to the cries of a sinner. The same Holy Ruler who permitted the evil to enter the swine, permitted the nails to pierce his hands so that you and I could be set free forever.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” [Galatians 5:22-26]
The fruits of the Holy Spirit are the fruits of Faith. When we are faithful and true, these things come naturally, for all these things, all the fruits of the faith are what Jesus preached, it is what God intended for his people.
When we give ourselves to Christ, when we make God the centre of our lives we will be filled with the Holy Spirit, but in order for this to happen we must cast aside our desires, for the fruit of the flesh leads us to sin, for the flesh desires that which destroys the soul. And while we must allow God to work in our lives we must also put in the work ourselves, we must want to push aside the wants of the flesh, if we do not put in the work we will not overcome the desires.
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit our fruits of faith will show, we will be filled with unselfish care for others, we will be satisfied with the joy we get from trusting God, we will have peace even in difficult times, we will have patience when patience would otherwise be impossible, we will have compassion for others even when they show no compassion towards us, we will be able to control the temptations of the flesh and the worldly pleasures, but most importantly, we will have full faith in Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
“Then spake Haggai the Lord’s messenger in the Lord’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the Lord.” [Haggai 1:13]
Throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament we receive constant assurance from the prophets, whom God used as his messengers and Jesus Christ our Saviour, that the Lord is with us. When we go through difficult times we can take comfort in knowing that while we might feel alone, we are not.
We do not always know what a person is going through, and when we do, we cannot always comprehend their feelings, thus we cannot provide comfort. While we can be there for someone and try our best to provide comfort, it doesn’t always work, especially if we have not gone through the same thing.
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into his grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience, and experience, Hope: and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is giving unto us.” [Romans 5:1-5]
Sometimes we feel lost with what we go through, sometimes we find it too difficult and we give up, we stop fighting and replace faith with earthly comforts, giving in to temptation. While this is easier, God commands us to fight, when we struggle with grief, illness, financial and spiritual difficulties, we must fight and stand strong, for God is always at our side and tribulations only make us stronger, and through faith we will overcome.
A prayer:
Heavenly Father, creator of all life and source of all healing, we come before you today with hearts full of concern for those who are in pain, distress and transition. We lift up all those who are suffering from illness, both in body and mind. Grant them your healing grace so that they may feel your presence. We pray for all those who are facing difficulties, guide them with your wisdom and grant them the strength to overcome so they may see your light in their darkest hour. We commend to your eternal care those who have recently left this earthly life. Welcome them into your loving embrace and grant them eternal peace.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers, we ask this in your holy and loving name.
Amen
“Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou comest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and i ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” [Jeremiah 1:4-5]
God made all of us, and when he created us he knew what our names would be, the choices we would make, as well as the sins we would commit.
Although God knows these things, he still gives us free will, but do not think that because God knows our sins even before we are born that it gives us a free pass to sin, do not think “but God knew I would sin so I am already forgiven.” This is not how it works, one must still build a relationship with God and repent for their sins.
Now besides sin, God created all of us in his image, meaning we are as we are meant to be, perfect and without flaws.
Sometimes we are unhappy with how we look or our personality traits, and we judge ourselves harshly for it, but we can not judge what God made and what he made perfectly in his image. We must accept ourselves and others as we are, for we are perfect and unique, for we are the children of God.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” [Ephesians 2:10]
“_For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them_.” [Matthew 18:20]
While we know that going to church is important, we must remember that church is not the building, it is not the bell or the imagery, church is where the followers of Christ come together.
Jesus told Peter that there where we are gathered in his name, that is where he shall be, we as Christians form a community. Now sometimes the community is only a few who we get along with, or who are kind towards us, sometimes there are people who treat us wrong but we must take comfort knowing that we are the true believers, and the true followers.
When we gather as a community, we not only gather physically but also spiritually, when we come together in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit we are no longer strangers, we are brothers and sisters, we become a family because we are united through Christ. This is what church is, it is not a fashion show, it is not a place where we are supposed to be judged, it is not a place where our importance is determined by the depth of our wallet, church is where we are all equal, equal under the Father, it is a place where we are safe, where we are welcomed with loving arms, where we are all equally important no matter where we come from, this is the church that Jesus had told us to build, this is the church God intended.
Have a blessed night, and a prosperous week. And where you go, go with God 🙏
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surly die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” [Genesis 3:1-5]
We all know how the devil tempted Eve, and this shows that for as long as we have been around that the devil has been tempting us, and while we know of satan and his fellow fallen angels, there have been more, more fallen angels who have disobeyed God.
“And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in these days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another, Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.” [1 Enoch 6:1-2, the apocrypha]
The devil and all his followers tempt us each day, they have been since our creation, they try to lead us astray, to lead us away from God and because of this we must stay strong.
In modern times temptation is more prevalent, from sexual explicit content on our phones that promote immorality, to falsehoods being preached in church. Temptation and sin are not only in the open, but in our time, it is encouraged and celebrated. While many of us claim to be children of God, few of us stand up and speak up regarding the sins of the world, and the influence of satanic can be seen in every corner of the world, and in every aspect, he has corrupted the people, and we, the followers of Christ must stand against it. We must remain strong in our faith, we must overcome temptation, for if not now, then when. This spiritual battle we face has much on the line, my brothers and sisters in Christ, if we do not overcome temptation, if we are not faithful, if we do not trust in Christ, we stand to lose our souls.
“He said to them,_I watched satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning._” [Luke 10:18]
“For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” [Ephesians 2:8-9]
Salvation is the gift we receive from God when we trust and have faith in him, and while this gift is given when we have faith, we must remember that while actions do not justify our faith, it is through faith that we justify our works.
Now this might seem confusing at first, but faith without works are hollow.
Let me explain, when a person does bad things, commits sinful deeds and does not repent, is faith enough to receive salvation? When we go against the teachings of Jesus and the word of God, you can not claim to be faithful, while no one is without sin, if you purposely commit these acts, how can you expect to be saved. While it is impossible for us to live in accordance to scripture, we try, we try to help others, we try to be respectful, kind and forgiving, and when we can not, when these virtues are not with us, we ask forgiveness. And these good deeds we do can be justified by referring to scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ, for faith and good deeds walk hand in hand, because when you do good, you follow the example set by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
“What good is it my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Surely that faith cannot save, can it? If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food and one of you says to them: Go in peace, keep warm and eat your fill, and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.” [James 2:14-17]
“I, Ezra, saw on mount zion a great multitude that I could not number, and they all were praising the Lord with songs. In their midst was a young man of great stature, taller than any of the others, and at the head of each of them he placed a crown, but he was more exalted than they. And I was held spellbound. Then I asked an angel: Who are these, my lord? He answered and said to me: These are they who have put off mortal clothing and have put on the immortal and have confessed the name of God. Now they are being crowned and receive palms. Then I said to the angel: Who is that young man who is placing crowns on them and putting palms in their hands? He answered and said to me: He is the son of God, whom they confessed in the world. So I began to praise those who had stood valiantly for the name of the Lord.” [2 Esdras 2:42-47, the apocrypha]
Now for those who are unsure, the books of the apocrypha are deuterocanonical, meaning they are in a sense separate from the old and new Testament. Because of this, many denominations exclude these books completely, yet they are still scripture. They are written in a time between the old and New Testament. These books contain both biblical and non-biblical accounts.
Now Ezra was a prophet of God, who had lead a group of Israelites out from Babylon back to Jerusalem, he also had visions. One such vision was where he saw the son of God, Jesus Christ. Alongside this, he saw the Son crowning those who profess his name. This shows that even before the birth of our Lord and Saviour, that God has promised to send his son so that we may be granted eternal life.
While many other prophets of the Old Testament had visions of the coming messiah, they were somewhat cryptic, but the vision of Ezra was clear, our saviour is the Son of God.
Besides this vision of our Lord, Ezra also had seven visions of the end times, separated by a unique theme for each. From divine wrath to eternal life with the Father and the Son. While visions were not out of the ordinary for God’s prophets, what makes the visions of Ezra stand out is that they are clear and detailed, and came one after the other.
Before the birth of Christ, God had shown the coming of the messiah to some of his prophets, but he showed Ezra that he will send his son and by faithfully following Christ we will be saved and granted eternal life.
“It shall be that whoever remains after all that I have foretold to you shall be saved and see my salvation and the end of my world. And they shall see those who were taken up, who from their birth have not tasted death, and the heart of the earth’s inhabitants shall be changed and converted to a different spirit. For evil shall be blotted out, and deceit shall be quenched, faithfulness shall flourish, and corruption shall be overcome, and the truth, which has been so long without fruit, shall be revealed.” [2 Esdras 6:25-28, the apocrypha]
