But honestly, it’s heartbreaking 😓 that a Ugandan passport can feel almost useless in Uganda itself.
You can’t even rely on it for basic things like registering a SIM card, opening a bank account, transferring land—and, unbelievably, you may even find it rejected at a local forex bureau.
A passport is supposed to be a document that proves who you are and gives you access to basic services in your own country. When it becomes difficult to use that document at home, you have to ask: what exactly is it worth? 🇺🇬
