$NXE | Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of NexGen’s Rook I Project, a milestone marking the progress already underway.
Construction is advancing to plan and we are progressing towards becoming the most strategic western supplier of the most critical of all critical minerals - the one that provides the power for everything (uranium)

London this week. The metals and mining industry has arrived for LME Week.
Our economy and everyday lives depend on metals, and on energy that never switches off.
That's where we come in. Energy is the essential backbone of modern society.
Did you know that a single year's fuel output from Rook I could power 1.7% of global electricity demand? Incredible particularly when you consider that this power output will come via 2 trucks carrying our uranium off site per day.

A world-class project calls for world-class capability. From advanced technology to specialist expertise, NexGen is building Rook I with the right tools, talent, and elite standards to succeed.
To-date we have completed the 3,000 ft airstrip, expanded the accommodation by 373 beds, installed the diffuser pipe and road, commenced exhaust shaft preparations with foundations going in shortly.
NexGen Delivers. Good Energy.

The freeze plant is getting ready to make its way to Rook I! This is another example of NexGen’s proactive approach to procurement with the freeze plant being delivered many months ahead of its planned installation.
Ground freezing is required only through the overburden, allowing for the safe installation of the conventional hydrostatic liner and securing the shaft infrastructure into competent basement rock. Once connected to the basement rock which starts 100 m below surface, the freezing is permanently removed and the ground naturally thaws.
This activity is on the critical path and is well on schedule.
A smart, temporary engineering solution that keeps Good Energy moving forward at pace and to plan.

The batch plant has arrived at Rook I. This is a critically important asset that will vitally create the concrete for the shaft pads, mill terrace and other key infrastructure.
Having it up at site ahead of schedule is the hallmark of how we are developing the Rook I Project successfully.
Concrete Plans. Real Progress.

"Rook I is one of the projects of national interest that we’re advancing” - Prime Minister Mark Carney
Speaking in Fort McMurray this week, the Prime Minister singled out NexGen Energy's Rook I uranium project calling it a huge opportunity for Saskatchewan and for Canada as a whole.
The comments came during a big week for energy in the province:
🔹 Saskatchewan announced plans for two new large-scale nuclear reactors in the northwest, targeting 2042, alongside 600 MW of small modular reactors near Estevan
🔹 The province is planning to add 2,600 MW of power by 2050
🔹 Ottawa says it has signed 50 deals worth more than $20 billion over the past year to diversify Canada's trading partners, with uranium "front and centre"
Canada is betting big on nuclear, and NexGen is at the centre of it!

Congratulations to NexGen's 2026–2027 scholarship recipients!
For the second year in a row, we're pleased to award our largest group of scholarships ever: ten deserving young leaders who are making a difference in their schools and communities. That's two more recipients than in 2025, building on one of our core long-term focuses of community building through education and training.
Since 2017, NexGen has awarded 48 scholarships to students from the Local Priority Area, supporting a broad range of academic pursuits, including Trades, College, and University programs.
We're proud to support these students as they pursue their education and career goals, creating opportunities that help build stronger communities for the long term.
Congratulations! 👏🎓

NexGen's commitment to community development extends beyond training. Through our second Heavy Equipment Operator Program at the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, Northern Region II gathering space in Palmbere, participants gained practical, job-ready experience while building new baseball fields for the community. The program created both a skilled local workforce and a lasting recreational asset, delivering immediate and long-term benefits.

At NexGen, building a skilled and capable workforce is a key part of our long-term approach to workforce development for the Rook I Project. Supporting our employees' professional growth helps strengthen both individual career pathways and our overall team capacity.
We are pleased to support Donald Herman, Rook I Project Site Services Coordinator, through NexGen-funded training as he embarks on an Office Administration Certificate with Northlands College in La Loche.
The program runs from September 2026 to May 2027 and will provide valuable skills to support his continued professional development.
Congratulations, Donald, on taking this next step in your learning journey. We wish you every success and look forward to seeing the knowledge and skills gained through the program applied in the workplace.

NexGen continues to invest in local workforce development through its Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Training Program. Between May and September 2026, 5 HEO training programs were delivered across the Local Priority Area (LPA), providing more than 50 participants with hands-on training and industry-recognised skills.
The program creates a direct pathway to employment, helping graduates prepare for the construction phase opportunities with NexGen at the Rook I Project.
We are proud to congratulate 6 recent graduates who have already secured employment with NexGen contractors. Their success highlights the impact of long-term targeted training and strong industry partnerships in creating meaningful career opportunities for local and Indigenous residents.
Congratulations to these graduates as they begin the next stage of their careers and contribute to the development of the Rook I Project and the region's growing workforce.

NexGen Energy's Dylan Smart joined the workforce and leadership panel at Canada-UK Nuclear Day in London on 8 September, alongside Mark Rouse and Rachel Sumner, with George Christidis of the Canadian Nuclear Association moderating.
Expanding nuclear takes more than new projects and technology. It takes a larger, more diverse, and more highly skilled workforce. The panel covered mentorship and leadership development, apprenticeships and skills shortages, and the Canada-UK research links behind it all.
NexGen has invested in its local workforce for over a decade including large-scale training programs over the past 3 years that are building skilled careers that will outlast the project itself and support the growth of northern Saskatchewan.

A great evening in London!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for NexGen Energy’s inaugural utility cocktail event during the 2026 World Nuclear Symposium. With more than 80 attendees, including representatives from utilities around the world, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect and show the progress being made at NexGen.
The strong interest in Rook I and its role as the Western world’s major source of uranium supply made for an engaging evening of conversations with leaders from across the nuclear industry.
Thank you to everyone who made our inaugural event such a success. We look forward to advancing these discussions!

The time for nuclear is now.
This week at the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto, hosted by Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, NexGen spoke at the Saskatchewan Day panel hosted by former Prime Minister @stephenharper to discuss the future of uranium in Canada.
Saskatchewan is the best jurisdiction in the world to explore and develop uranium projects like NexGen’s Rook I Project. We're proud that NexGen's Rook I Project is featured in the Summit's deal book, among the investment-ready projects presented to global investors. Construction is underway and going to schedule, budget and scope at the Rook I Project, on what is the world's largest and lowest-cost new source of uranium supply.
