📸 Marco Spirito presented @tudelft's research within the context of NextGEM.
He did it during the XIII Course of the Erice International School of Bioelectromagnetism, partially organised by consortium partners @CnrIrea.
📸NextGEM held its final Plenary Meeting!
Before it ends next June, NextGEM partners gathered online to review the final details.

📸 NextGEM partners @CnrIrea presented the research activities done under the project in a joint workshop with @ICAR_CNR.
📍 It was in Naples, on March 31st.
📸 Pictures of NextGEM's webinar on practical guidelines for communicating about RF-EMF.
👉 It was a successful event with the goal of explaining how experts should engage with concerned citizens.

#5G measurements vs perception
We participated in #ClueH's second policy brief with
@EtainEu, @seawave5g2022 and #ProjectGOLIAT.
📡 Environmental RF-EMF levels in Europe stay well below international safety limits.
🌍 Significant increases in measurements were not detected

𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿:
📲 Personal exposure depends more on how people use their devices (duration of use, or distance from the body).
📊 Surveys show that many Europeans perceive 5G as increasing exposure
👉 This highlights the importance of clear science communication.
🎥 Check out this video by @uni_cassino. It shows the reverberating chamber they have engineered to expose biological samples to #EMF.
We use mammalian cell models and C. elegans model organism to assess the potential effects of RF-EMF on human health.

We are at the 8th #NextGEM plenary meeting!
This is the last NextGEM meeting—the project is coming to an end in 2026.
🔙 We review the last 3 years of results and make sure the following steps are well prepared.
📡 We ensure a safe #EMF technology implementation.
Last week, Dr Valentina Peluso (@CnrIrea) presented the latest results on combined exposure of human keratinocytes to 5G RF-EMF and UVB light to other IREA-CNR researchers.
The #NextGEM Project played a key role in this research.
📸 Last Friday, @CnrIrea researchers participated at the #EuropeanResearchersNight 2025 in Naples.
They presented the #NextGEM project and shared the results obtained so far with the general public and colleagues from local universities & research centres.
NIKH stands for NextGEM Innovation and Knowledge Hub. It is a collaborative space for the scientific community involved in #EMF exposure studies.
It offers a standardised way to store, manage, and assess project outcomes, while ensuring compliance with #FAIR data principles.
