😳 GOODNESS GRACIOUS = a cute and slightly old-fashioned way to express surprise

🌶️ RISQUÉ = sexual in nature and slightly shocking (you can tell a risqué joke, see a risqué performance, etc.)

Meaning: To waste time searching for something that is difficult or impossible to find; to pursue a hopeless or pointless task.

📌 Usage Examples:

🥣 GRUEL = a cheap simple food made, especially in the past, by boiling oats with water or milk

(This word has a connotation of the food being unpleasant—almost like it’s a punishment to eat it.)
