Remember that time they were about to implement a "feature" that locks you out of the current urgent quest if you disconnect mid-run, pitched as a sort-of anti-queue-dodge tech? But the reception from players was so poor and vocal that they canned it before it ever went live?
I see a lot of excited posts about that roadmap, but I have to keep shoving the words "limited time quest" out of my face to see any of the stuff they're talking about
@Kazaura2@CathyNGS_ Hell, I saw the *NGS announcement* and saw it coming. I knew, they've had zero reason to have learned anything about launch states, and for me it was like seeing the trainwreck coming a year in advance, and not being able to do anything about it.
@Kazaura2@CathyNGS_ Here's the kicker. I saw the beta and knew that was 95% of the launch state. How? *Every* episode and game previously, all the way back to Dreamcast V1, launched like that. And they *never* caught flak for it until NGS. PSO1 and PSU at least had offline campaigns, Classic idk.
I'm going to be honest, at this point I don't really care where they take the story now, because there's no payoff that could ever be worth the baffling amount of nothing that has ultimately happened to get us to this point
I almost thought the story was going somewhere again, that we would have to chase down Vael as he got used to his new body, and maybe learn about what his deal even is along the way, but nope we just jump straight into the fight
#NGSHeadline Can we expect to see the accessory colorization system get integrated into motion effects someday? Personally, I feel limited by the fact I'd have to coordinate my CAST's colors to those Metal Wings motions if I want to make them not look out of place.
@DauraPso2 I think it would be funny if the clone body was erroneously based on whatever is in the pod he thought we came out of, so it's just some random arks rather than the guardian. That said, it would be double funny if we opened that pod and found a familiar face inside
Needless to say, I wish there was a more permanent place to consistently fight Ruine bosses without extra stuff going on. Leciel turns every fight into a gimmick to exploit, Nameless City is too busy and inconsistent
The leciel expedition boss fights had too many extra mechanics stacked on for me, but this limited time quest finally started to fill that void I felt about not being able to fight Classic bosses with NGS movesets
