It is fabulous to see the launch of the Physical Development Toolkit from Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) raising the profile of PD (often the forgotten Prime Area of Learning.
At NEYASP we welcome this toolkit and the evidence summary on Physical Development
@NEYASP_comms
How will this government prioritise physical activity and health in schools and settings? Two x 45 min sessions of PE a week is not sufficient to lift children out of this crisis. PD needs to hold the same value as the other Prime Areas! @NEYASP_comms@_ukactive@MattersActive
Very proud of what @NEYASP_comms has achieved in such a short space of time. This is what a united voice looks like when there is a common mission!

We believe it is important to present research that is up-to-date & rigorously evaluated, thus enhancing #educators’ practices. In having quality interactions w/children it is...
We welcomed @Ofstednews’s “Best Start in Life 2” document: it is very encouraging to see the 3 Prime Areas of Learning given equal status across the #EarlyYears curriculum.
However, it is essential they are seen to be working together, partic. in #policy & #practice.
⬇️Below is…
NEYASP Chair @HBattelley: " #EarlyChildhood is a critical stage of development for both brain & body, and one in which adults play a significant role. Emergency investment into the sector is required to ensure EVERY early years child is afforded the best opportunity to engage...
