The NFDC-National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI), in association with the Film and Television Institute of India (@FTIIOfficial), Pune, will organise a specialised workshop on “Moving Images: Preservation, Archiving, Digitization and Restoration” from October 5 to 15, 2026, excluding weekends, at the NFDC-NFAI and FTII campuses in Pune.

The workshop is designed for students, aspiring professionals, researchers and others interested in film preservation, archiving, restoration, film technology and audiovisual heritage.

Malayalam cinema classic Kireedam will return to theatres in India and overseas on July 10, 2026 in a restored 4K version with Dolby Atmos sound. The restoration has been carried out by the National Film Development Corporation–National Film Archive of India (NFDC–NFAI). The restored film is being presented by NFDC in association with Seven Arts International Ltd. and distributed by Hyzin Global Ventures.
