Auch wenn viele Medien jetzt, nach seiner Ermordung, gegen Charlie Kirk hetzen, was an sich schon perfide genug ist, sie liegen falsch.
Ich habe zahlreiche seiner Auftritte und Debatten gesehen.

Charlie Kirk war ein kluger, empathischer und respektvoller Debattierer. Egal, wie absurd die Position seines Gegenübers auch war, er argumentierte ruhig, mit Fakten und mit Einfühlungsvermögen. Er hasste nicht, er war nicht radikal, und ganz sicher war er kein Nazi.

Gefährlich war er nur in dem Sinne, dass er genau wusste, wovon er sprach. Er vertrat seine Überzeugungen konsequent und wich nicht zurück. Selbst wenn sein Gegenüber nicht mehr weiter wusste, laut wurde oder gar beleidigend,eine Taktik, die oft eingesetzt wird, wenn Argumente fehlen, blieb er gelassen und bedankte sich am Ende für das Gespräch.

Ich kann nur jedem raten: Schaut euch seine Auftritte selbst an und bildet euch euer eigenes Urteil. Dann erkennt ihr schnell, wie falsch und verzerrt viele unserer Medien wieder einmal berichten.

Seine brutale Ermordung hat mich persönlich tief getroffen. Es macht mich traurig, dass ein Mensch, der so leidenschaftlich für seine Überzeugungen eingestanden ist und so respektvoll debattiert hat, auf so grausame Weise aus dem Leben gerissen wurde. Mein Mitgefühl gilt seiner Familie, seinen Freunden und allen, die ihn geschätzt haben
