NC: “We’re reasonably close with one but we’ve hit a stumbling block that we can’t get over at the moment. It would be a permanent signing.
Everything’s agreed with the player, we’re still hopeful, We’re working hard to get it done. If we don’t, we’ll look elsewhere” #Stags
@Chris_Taylor32 yeah he won’t have too much pressure here as he’ll be a number 2 to one of the best keepers most stags fans have ever seen here, i don’t mind him as a backup tbf
wonder if this will be us. was quality for bradford but not great for carlisle but can’t see any other L1 club wanting him but we are in need of a backup Gk. Makes sense #Stags#Mtfc
Mark Hughes has revealed goalkeeper Harry Lewis looks set to depart the Cumbrians on a permanent deal this week with interest in the player understood from a League One club.

@Nick_Brown86 Yeah, he more than likely might not even make the bench. We sent our number 2 to southend so have 1 senior GK but clough basically said we might continue to not run with a Gk sub and have 7 outfield. unless injury he won’t touch our 11 in the league with roberts in goal
@liam17981@blando98 @TheDeckNL @joncolman yeah he’ll be a backup. was good for bradford mind but yeah doubt he’ll get a game other than cups. our current keeper is the best Gk most fans have seen here in our lifetime
@KbTerracetalk Only difference is the quote was from the head of refs who was at the game on saturday who said that the ref got everything wrong other than the red card
@olpafc_@Burton15Marcus yeah but Being in the middle of the country don’t mean exeter isn’t about 4 hours away when 17 th in the league in march and taking 500 odd or Crawley etc then in august taking 800 for a half 12. plymouth naturally are a big club mansfield aren’t that size either.
@Burton15Marcus@olpafc_ in terms of away support we have to be up there and especially for the size of the club overall. not to be biased but we are extremely underrated. (not taking away the support of the other clubs mentioned btw)
Mansfield’s average away following 1,443.
In 18 of the 23 away l games this season, the away following has been more than 900 (only 555 at Crawley, 517 at Leyton Orient, 470 at Exeter, all on a Tuesday night, 712 at Stevenage, and 868 at Bristol Rovers, were less than 900) #MTFC
Squad at the minute is packed- had to put Bolton as a striker for the sake of having him on the format made a few weeks ago when he won’t be playing there and Mcdonell as a CB when he’s obviously a midfielder. Fair to say we’ve got quite a few options
