A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the #SportsLeadershipDialogue.
It was a privilege to bring together athletes from all sports, sports leaders, administrators, media, policymakers and other stakeholders for an open and meaningful conversation on the role of sport in building a healthier generation and a stronger society, and raise awareness against the use of illicit brews #Ibyuma and other drugs among our youth, society and indeed sports people.
Siporo si imikino gusa; ni imbaraga zo kubaka ubuzima bwiza n’umuryango utekanye—kandi izi n'inshingano dusabwa kubahiriza no kurinda nka bakinnyi, abanyabigwi, abasiporutifu n'abandi bose bafite aho bahuriye n'umuryango mugari wa siporo twese tubarizwamo.
I’m particularly grateful to our panelists, contributors, speakers, moderator, and MC for sharing their experiences, insights and ideas so generously. Your voices made the dialogue richer and reminded us of the power of sport not only to inspire and unite, but also to create lasting social impact.
Thank you to everyone who made the time to attend, contribute and support this initiative. The evening was an important first step, and I hope the conversations we started will continue and translate into meaningful action.
Together, let’s continue using the power of sport to build a healthier, more inclusive and more resilient generation.

Rwanda at night, 2013 → 2025. Over the same period, electricity access grew from ~19% to 82%.
I built this map using real NOAA VIIRS satellite data, retrieved via Google Earth Engine, and animated it in Python.
i am fascinated by this kind of data visualization and what it means for the future of impact reporting.

President Kagame speaks on the honor and integrity of the Rwandan (RDF) during the 32nd commemoration
Today, Rwanda and the world mark the 32nd commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
We remember the lives lost, honor the resilience of survivors, and stand together in unity against genocide.
