Our #IndustryGrants team joined @FortisBC and @enbridgegas in #Vancouver to visit four companies funded through our program: #EkonaPower, @HydronInc, #G4InsightsInc., and @Kinitics_ATM - each developing solutions to the challenges facing the natural gas sector.

Walking the facilities, and hearing directly from the teams gives us something a report never can, a real read on progress, and on what it will actually take to move these solutions from development to commercialization.

This is the part of our work we value most. Site visits let us connect innovators with industry, open doors for collaboration, and see up close what our funding is actually making possible.

NGIF Accelerator is pleased to announce $300,000 in Methane Reduction Demonstration Program #MRDP funding to #Xplorobot for the deployment and demonstration of their AI-powered methane Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) #technology.

Xplorobot's Laser OGI platform combines advanced sensors with #AI software for real-time detection and reporting of methane leaks, significantly reducing inspection costs by up to 90%.

Their technology will be demonstrated at host sites provided by NGIF's industry members: @ATCOGas, @AUI_Alberta, @arcresources, @png_bc, and @TourmalineOil.

This funding is part of the #MRDP, supported by NGIF's industry members and @YourAlberta.

NGIF Accelerator has awarded a grant of $381,430.50 to #ForefrontEnergy for its #ZeroEmissionsGenerator (ZEG) under the #MethaneReductionDemonstrationProgram.

Supported by @YourAlberta and NGIF's industry members, the ZEG generates electricity from natural gas well pressure, significantly reducing methane venting and CO₂ emissions.

Currently being demonstrated at a gas well in British Columbia, the ZEG aims for commercial availability by Q4 2027.
