If you experience any price gouging or would like to report a business selling expired goods, please call the National Consumer Commission on 0800 014 880.
I am also advising Businesses that price gouging, including the sale of expired goods, is illegal. Outlets that contravene the gazetted National Disaster Regulations will be charged, fined or imprisoned accordingly.
if the space within your business premises is too small, the provision of a maximum of 50 customers at one time, would not apply to you.
This is purely done to reduce the spread of the covid-19 & to protect the lives of our people.
They must further ensure there is enough space in their premises, to allow for at least one square metre for each customer, in order to facilitate social distancing #covid-19
It should be noted that all businesses permitted and licensed to sell essential goods & services during the lockdown period are prohibited from selling any other goods.
Even though a business sells goods classified as essential or provides services classified as essential, it must possess a valid business operating permit or business trading license issued by their respective municipality #covid19
My plea to all South Africans is that we all unite in fighting against the fast spreading Covid-19 virus. Let us refrain from spreading fake news and adhere to the national lockdown regulations.
