Comparing Ronaldo to Messi using stats by Messi fans is disrespectful to Messi even if he is leading almost all of them, His game is beyond any stat and nos. So just troll this Factos merchant and his banter fanbase for some fun or ignore
Ronaldo fans just wouldn’t understand this.
Out of the 17 Argentine players that played in the World Cup final against France, 14 of them were born between 1991-2001.
They were born well after the Maradona era and likely grew up watching and idolizing Messi.
Those players were between 10-20 years old when Messi dropped the greatest performance in Champions League final history in 2011 and was being called the best ever.
They were 13-23 when they saw him carry the burden of an entire nation only to come short in the final of the 2014 World Cup.
They were 15-25 when they saw him cry in the 2016 Copa America final after coming short again in their 3rd consecutive international final.
They saw his own people burning his jerseys and cuss him for not being able to end their trophy drought.
They saw the country’s footballing idol tell the team to not come back to Argentina if they failed to lose that final.
They watched their idol carry the blame for every defeat and never complain about it.
They saw him fall, get back up, and try again.
Over. And. Over.
FOUR consecutive international titles isn’t by coincidence.
Messi inspired an entire generation of footballers that are willing to go to war for him in every match.
Simply because they don’t want to see their idol fall again.
O problema é que o Messi não é só o melhor.
É que, aos 38 anos, chegando aos 39, ele ainda faz coisas que jogadores no auge não conseguem fazer.
A comparação deixou de ser com os contemporâneos há muito tempo.
O argentino segue competindo contra a própria história.
Que bagulho assustador. 🐐
They spent years pushing the longevity gimmick, and now they're crying because an almost 39-year-old Messi has scored five goals in two games on the biggest stage😂😂
Messi fans have never hidden it. Messi is a team player and needs great teammates around him to succeed. Messi himself has said as much throughout his career.
For years, Messi was mocked because he played with world-class teammates. Meanwhile, Ronaldo fans — led by Sir Alex Ferguson's famous praise — told us Ronaldo didn't need teammates, tactics, or systems. Just give him the ball and he'll make magic happen.
So why the sudden outrage that his teammates aren't passing to him enough?
I thought he only needed the ball? The ball is right there. It's the World Cup, the biggest stage of all.
Seven games. Show us a little of that magic we've been hearing about for 20 years.
