Solid adaptation

There are definitely some anime moments and dialogue that can be hard to swallow in that first episode but so far the visual one piece world building and soundtrack has kept up my suspended disbelief.

Really enjoyed the first ep of the one piece live action series... They did a great job of creating an authentic live cinematic universe and the pacing of the adaption felt fresh. Overall very satisfied with how it turned out and a lot to cover in depth.

This OP isnt a 1:1 recreation. Events are shifted and new scenes added. One of the pitfalls of the cowboy bebop live action was that it was too faithful to the anime. Their attempt to recreate so many 1:1 scenes made it feel like cosplayers roleplaying their favorite characters.
