@CostaCoffee shocking to find the ONLY GF toastie you sell is NOT included in the lunch deal. It’s not a lifestyle choice for some of us to be #glutenfree#shame#discriminated but it’s ok because there is a vegan option #doh it’s still on wheat bread!!!
A HUGE thank you to @bootsopticians#Fakenham for repairing my sisters glasses today. My sister who has severe learning and physical disabilities is lost without them. Your time and effort are so appreciated and thank you seems such a small reward for such a big difference made.
You may have seen healthcare staff in the UK wearing this yellow badge with their name on it.
But do you know the story behind this?
Dr Kate Granger MB was an NHS doctor who was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.
During a hospital stay in August 2013 with post-operative sepsis, she made the stark observation that many staff looking after her did not introduce themselves before delivering care.
It felt incredibly wrong that such a basic step in communication was missing.
She decided to start a campaign, primarily using social media initially, to encourage and remind healthcare staff about the importance of introductions in healthcare.
Introductions are about making a human connection between one human being who is suffering and vulnerable and another human being who wishes to help.
Dr. Kate Granger passed away in 2016, but the message she left is still going strong.
Remember, this isn't about wearing a yellow badge. This is to remind ourselves the importance of introductions & developing therapeutic relationships with our patients.

@Tesco having been told that the faulty kettle I have that is less than 6 months old and given as a gift could be taken back to a store with the club card as reference. I’m so glad I travelled an hr to my nearest store to be told that club card receipts only go back to October
Got to love @milk_and_more you report a wrong delivery they do nothing but send a customer satisfaction questionnaire you resend your original email to be told it’s too late but ‘on this occasion’ they send a voucher to use against a costly item not usually ordered. 1/2
Absolutely disgusted by @WrenKitchens issues with solid oak worktops. Advice go and buy something online to see if you can resolve the problem. They are 2 months old!!! Shouldn’t be my problem to resolve
Sick to death of bloody @IKEAUK customer services. Tried to call 5 times. Got cut off each time - call back told the original colleague will call me back. No such bloody luck. Spent 30 mins on hold ie my lunchbreak and then got cut off again. Non delivery of item!!! WTF 😡
Have had fabulous customer design service from @WrenKitchens and amazing customer service so far, communication for manufacture and delivery can’t be faulted. however the actual physical delivery leads a LOT to be desired 🤔😡
Today we remember the one and only Dr Kate Granger MBE who died on this day in 2016.
Kate was an inspiration to thousands across the NHS and her legacy lives on in so much of what we do.
2023 marks 10 years since she launched the #HelloMyNameIs campaign.
@NiallHarbison We fostered ‘old’ dogs no one wanted it was the most joyous experience, all they wanted was love cuddles a warm bed and the reassurance of home ❤️. The love we gave and received was worth the short time we had with them. Will do it again in a heartbeat
The truly inspirational Dr Kate Granger MBE died on this day in 2016.
Kate’s legacy lives on in much of what we do in the NHS, especially through her #HelloMyNameIs campaign, which is now 10 years old.
Don’t bother with @OvensupportL they book your clean take your money and then don’t turn up despite multiple text messages ‘on our way’ and then take 28 days to return you money. Would I like to rebook? Ummm let me think and waste another annual leave day for you not to turn up!
