Where there is an island in the middle of a zebra crossing, wait for people to cross just in case they forget the sad reality that most highway rules exist primarily for the benefit of people in cars, who actually aren’t more important, they’ve simply bought a car.
Ah, forget it.
Don’t forget: beautiful sunsets make great excuses to get you off a charge of causing death by careless driving when you kill someone by not slowing down when unable to see properly.
Tony is currently between jobs. He drinks a few cans each day that he gets from an off-licence a short drive away from home.
Megan is a junior doctor. She drinks prosecco in a wine bar after work with colleagues as her job is very stressful.
They are both drink drivers.
Look at this picture. There’s a cyclist in it, but can you see him? No! Of course you can’t! He’s not wearing bright trousers! Imagine how awful you’d feel if you drove straight into him simply because you couldn’t see him? Right! Well, tell everyone what you think about that!
Yeah, I did. And I dont even have headlights. And he’s way further ahead than the stopping distance for the speed limit in that road. And I keep an eye out for people who are legally lit even if they don’t wear a yellow cest. And even people who aren’t legally lit. But I’m weird.
Whilst it is not mandatory to wear high vis when cycling it is a good idea when its dark. This cyclist had a rear light but is still difficult to spot in dark clothing - did you see him! @SustransSE @BritishCycling@WeAreCyclingUK@GetBritCycling@THINKgovuk
I didn't listen (LBC scores higher than an angry wasp on the list of Things I Don't Want To Put In My Ears) but I hope it went like this:
"It's a load of inherently impotent hegemonic shit, Nick. Ciao."

Yeah? Good stuff, then. Crack on.
BACK TO SCHOOL
A great time to remind parents to drive in anticipation of children being inevitably carefree, or to make an effort to get the kids to school without even using the ca—no wait hang on a minute I've got this
BACK-TO-SCHOOL

One way in which we can all help to reduce the risk of road casualties is to simply drive less: consider using online communication rather than travelling to face-to-face meetings, taking public transport when going on a long journey, or finding a more local tapas restaurant.
