The Prequal/Sequel debate is over. Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave seems to be a sequel to Three Houses.

The events of Three Houses take place between Fodlan year 1180 and 1185.

Per the UI in the trailer, Fortune's Weave seems to occur in year 1449, almost 300 years later.
