The usual practise for dealing with expensive Listed Buildings in the UK, is that they mysteriously "go on fire" and then cant be rebuilt faithfully, and the site will enter legal Limbo. Just when all is lost after six months, miraculously a foreign property developer will immediatey submit a massive and detailed scheme to build luxury flats there, which they have obviously been working on for several years, will be immediately approved.

@CarSighting If memory serves me correctly, they were called the 'Orbital Bandits'. Were once briefly featured in a popular car tuning magazine of the day also I think. The screenshot is correct about the aim of distracting the police, mainly so others could move 'cargo' uninterrupted.

Motorway musing from today:

The decline in white collar company car schemes and rise in motability/easy finance had led to a much shittier quality of vehicle on the second hand market. No longer is a 3 year old car one maintained fastidiously by an account manager who worked hard for his 330i, it’s nowadays a Juke trashed carting a mongrel around for 3 years, not maintained then dumped for some poor sucker to buy. Rough times for the young and poor.
