Things were 1 minute actually takes 20:
-Inception level 3
-The one planet in Interstellar
-With this clown show of an officiating crew calling BGSU/OSU tonight
Can’t underscore enough what an enormous loss this is for The Blade. Sarah, an amazing human, was a star on the city hall beat. Happy for her that she’s moving on to a job that appreciates her talents.
Friday was my last day at The Blade. Thank you, Toledo, for letting me tell your stories and trusting me to hold our local public officials accountable. My five years at @toledonews were a blast.
Today’s my first day at @clevelanddotcom as I join the #Browns beat! So excited to join a really great group of reporters and editors and to get a chance to cover my hometown NFL team. There’s so many stories to tell, and I can’t wait to dive in.
It was never about money. I don't need to feel warm and fuzzy at work or exorbitant benefits and I don't need them to buy me lunch. I just wanted them to treat readers and employees like people.
If you follow this account and have a phone number for me, chances are you have my old one. DM me if you'd like the new number/want to talk about The Wire.
Newspapers have to be adversarial sometimes, yet the Blade's bad reputation in NW Ohio isn't about that. When people would tell me they'll never give their money to Buckeye or the Blade, I always said, "Believe me, I get it." About time I did the same with my work.✌🏻
My now former co-workers are legitimately great in spite of this nonsense all the time. But in a time when bad employers are reaping what they've sown, it's no coincidence that so many of the Blade's employees moved on and didn't look back.
@KellanGodfrey@jknavel Got some bad luck when they got there too, and yet the Cardinals just won't die. Even when they aren't good, they still somehow win 88-92 games and still make the playoffs
@jknavel@KellanGodfrey 30 years of this argument and yet no one making it can answer why LaValliere walked off the field without a word to the ump.
Because his tag was late. And he knew it 🤐
When someone lines up for a big FG in a game you don't care about, is it normal to still feel a deep, inescapable sense of dread or have I just been watching the Vikings too long
