Multiple sources tell me that Gov. Spanberger, Del. Krizek, and Sen. Aird met and had a productive meeting and are close to figuring out how to establish a retail marijuana market in Virginia. Unclear if this means in the budget, or for the next legislative session.
It looks like the newly renovated Freedom Plaza is getting even more new statues. The one on horseback was planned, but there are now a dozen more statues lining the northern and southern edges of the plaza.
Bradley Blvd Update: Repairs to the 20-inch diameter water main are complete, and water service has been restored.
Crews are now shifting their focus to road repairs. Work will begin on the eastbound side of Bradley Blvd which is expected to reopen later today. Once that side is complete, crews will move to the westbound side.

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.
