Jaylen Brown on being traded:
"They packed me up, bro. It's a crazy business... don't become a basketball player. There's no loyalty and there's no love."
A brutally honest reaction. 💔
Joe Mazzulla on Jaylen Brown:
"He made me a better coach."
Mazzulla said Jaylen constantly pushed him, pushed himself, and pushed the locker room.
A heartfelt tribute to one of the biggest pieces of Boston's recent era. ☘️
Joe Mazzulla on how much input he had in the Jaylen Brown trade:
"Not input, Brad comes to you and talks to you and gives you a breakdown and an understanding and in moments like this obviously there's great alignment within the organization"
"I think in moments like this this is where you just trust ... I think Brad has been the absolute best of of what he does and there's just a level of trust that goes into that."

Kevin Garnett on the Jaylen Brown trade:
“I ain’t like the trade…I wanted JB to retire as a Celtic.”
“You don’t break a great thing up,” he said of Brown and Jayson Tatum’s partnership. “This was a great thing…That was probably the most dynamic duo.”

Joe Mazzulla on his reaction when he heard the Celtics traded Jaylen Brown:
"There's an emotion that goes into it. There's a processing pattern that goes into it ... he made me a better coach. I know that for a fact, the way he pushed me, the way he pushed himself, the way he pushed the locker room, he made me a better coach and that's what you focus on."

Jayson Tatum spoke at length about his reaction to the Jaylen Brown trade today:
“The NBA is an incredible business; it’s an incredible job, but there are some downsides to the business and moments like this, where you just kind of feel like you’re going to be on the team with somebody, because that’s all you know. And then it’s just like, one day you find out that they’re no longer on your team anymore. And, we’re all humans. We feel all those emotions. Going into the facility, and knowing that you have different teammates, and somebody that you’ve been to war with, essentially, is on a different team…”
The Celtics will hold a press conference on Monday with president of basketball operations Brad Stevens and new majority owner Bill Chisholm to discuss the Jaylen Brown trade, per multiple reports.
The league's annual moratorium will be lifted and the deal will be official.
The Jaylen Brown smear is insane. Derrick White couldn’t hit a shot all season. Tatum missed most of the year. Hauser was below average. Queta is fine. Garza? Scheierman? Walsh? Jaylen carried those guys to 56 wins and now he’s taking it on the chin for no reason
Yesterday Jaylen Brown said that although he’s no longer a Celtic, he will still work with the Boston community through his foundations:
“I’ve invested my own money into the city. I’ve put millions of dollars into Boston and still will continue to.”

Brad Stevens and Bill Chisholm have never had a more important press conference than the one waiting for them to discuss the Jaylen Brown trade. And I’m honestly not sure what they can say that will make it acceptable to a very confused, frustrated fan base.
