This week felt a bit like this, except for once, in "reverse"...with a major snowstorm Sunday and a quick flip to sunshine and 60s by today, just in time for the new season!

I was at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center yesterday for the first time since Alex Pretti's murder.

The staff, even those who hadn't worked with him, are still heartbroken.

There is a beautiful tribute outside the ICU.

The hot water trick works in most of MN this morning!
Freezing air (usually best at -14F or cooler) causes boiling hot water to instantly turn into a cloud of ice crystals and vapor.

I was seated next to a Gold Star family, & their loss was unimaginable.
