Believing that Israelis have a right to live safely in their homeland where they have lived for generations instead of under Hamas or the PA in yet another Arab Muslim theocracy is obviously NOT unethical. They're a persecuted minority ethnic group, and obviously wouldn't be safe under Palestinian rule. What you clearly WANT is the genocide of millions of Jews, because that is absolutely what the erradication of Israel would amount to. Ask any Palestinian what they would do with the Jews if they "freed Palestine."

And yes, Hitler himself was an early "Free Palestine" activist and supporter.

I was digging around a site called Newspaper Finder (wow did I come across a mountain of info). But...I found a pamphlet from January 1946 called "Truth About Palestine." It was written by the Christian Council on Palestine, a group of nearly three thousand mostly Protestant clergy, with a number of Catholics too. Reinhold Niebuhr was the treasurer. Paul Tillich signed it. So did Norman Vincent Peale.

It's a direct, point-by-point rebuttal to three anti-Zionist church statements that had circulated the year before. Some of what's in it lines up almost exactly with arguments still being made today. Here's what stood out:

The Hussein-McMahon correspondence, the letters people cite to claim Britain "twice promised" Palestine to both Arabs and Jews, never mentions Palestine by name. McMahon himself said so on the record in 1922 and again in 1937.

Emir Feisal, who led the Arab delegation at the Paris Peace Conference, signed an agreement with Chaim Weizmann in 1919 recognizing the Balfour Declaration and agreeing to encourage large-scale Jewish immigration. He only backed away from it after the extremist wing of Arab nationalism gained ground.

Lloyd George, who was prime minister when the Balfour Declaration was issued, said flatly that the Cabinet always understood it to mean an eventual Jewish state, not just a cultural or spiritual center. Churchill said the same thing about his own 1922 White Paper.

The Arab population of Palestine doubled between the 1920s and 1945, going from about 600,000 to 1.2 million, largely because Jewish development lowered the death rate and raised wages. That's a strange result if the story is supposed to be Arab displacement.

Out of thousands of Arab families who claimed to have been made landless by Jewish land purchases, British investigators validated 664 total. Land reclamation by Jewish settlers added farmable acreage to the country, it didn't shrink it.

The Mufti of Jerusalem, the most powerful Arab political leader in Palestine at the time, fled the country and helped organize a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq. He later worked directly with Hitler. The church documents being rebutted don't mention this.

A 1945 poll by Elmo Roper found about 80 percent of American Jews supported a Jewish state. The idea that American Jewry was deeply split on Zionism was already a manufactured talking point by 1946.

The official Jewish Commonwealth proposal on the table at the time included full legal equality for non-Jews, universal suffrage, and local control of Muslim and Christian holy sites by their own communities. That's the opposite of the "theocratic, racial state" critics claimed it would be.

Worth reading as a primary source, whichever side of the current argument you're on. It shows how old these exact talking points are, and how they were being argued over inside the Christian church itself, not just between governments.

Flashback: A Muslim preacher in Britain has openly explained why Islam is morally superior because it obligates Muslims to enslave Christian women and girls.

According to him, Muslim fathers should not be forced to change their own baby daughters’ diapers, because the infant girls naturally “seduce” them and tempt them to commit Zina (adultery or rape), which under Sharia is punishable by stoning for the young girls.

His solution? Force non-Muslim girls into slavery so they can perform these basic parenting tasks instead, preventing Muslim babies from tempting their Muslim fathers and potentially facing capital punishment.

The lead investigator testified that their big tip came when a person — Tyler Robinson — turned himself in to Washington County police. (So, he did turn himself him.)

Access to the rooftop is easy, a staircase open to the public and a small guardrail that can be hopped over to gain entry to the gravel rooftop. (So, no Spider-Man ability necessary to get to the roof).

Defense actually DOES have access to the state’s discovery. They’ve filed ZERO motions to compel because they are satisfied with state cooperation on this. (So, no fed conspiracy to deny defense exculpatory evidence.)

No bullet casing on the roof? So what? Bolt action rifles don’t auto reject casings if only one shot is fired. The casing was found inside the rifle with three other unfired rounds. (So, not a “set up” framing Tyler Robinson’s rifle.)

....Because Palestine never actually existed as anything but a 25-year British colony, when people fantasize about pre-colonial Palestine, we can only assume they are referring to the Ottoman Empire, with all its rampant slavery (they kidnapped and enslaved Africans and Europeans, castrated them), apartheid (the Dhimmi system, where non-Muslims are "humiliated" lower class wearing yellow stars), and ACTUAL genocide (they mass-murdered millions of Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks).

No, that's not what happened.
The British Mandate of Palestine Eretz Israel was a British colony with Christians, Muslims, Druze, and Jews all already living there. Before that, it was the Ottoman Empire for 400 years. Many Jews started moving there as refugees during the Ottoman Period, and they bought land legally and built towns and villages.

Then, England decided it didn't want to manage this colony anymore--- but the ethnic groups were violently fighting. So, the England and the UN decided to give the divide the territory into a land for Arab Muslims and a land for Jews. First it was Jordan and Israel. Then the Arabs wanted more, so it was Jordan, Israel, and Palestine.
Jordan and Israel accepted statehood.
Palestine rejected statehood and started a war, teaming up with 5 other neighboring Arab Muslim countries.
They invaded Israel, waged a war, and lost.
In the process of this war, they lost some of their territory and ended up displacing themselves.
Arabs within the Israel territory that didn't wage war were invited to stay, which is why Israel proper has 2 million Arab Muslim Israeli citizens.
