Great remark on how #RPA can be used to leverage AI-Tools. Also showing again that RPA-Developers do not need to be #AI experts to incorporate it into processes.
Generative AI can be powerful tool for unstructured content tasks with little to no code.
๐ก To make the most of #GenerativeAI you still need an ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ- thereโs where #automation comes in.
Pratyush Garikapati, Director of Product Management explains how.
Finally fun drives the motivation.
RPA means working on small projects and making gradual impact that you can see immediately. Sounds fun? Great!
You want to work on mega-sized multi-year projects and report to head-level? Wellโฆ maybe RPA is not for you.
โ Motivation and Interest
RPA has a fast learning curve and can be taught to everybody but It requires a lot of self-study in the beginning. Motivation and interest in the topic is key here. ๐๐ป
@andersjensenorg IMO this is the major enabler for Citizen Development initiatives to take off, as scaling RPA for everybody has become economical ๐
While #PAD therefore is (and should be) the #RPA tool of choice for the average casual #CitizenDeveloper, I think it still falls short of competitors like #UiPath in terms of usability / ease of use, which should be the major focus to leverage this potential.
2๏ธโฃ Availability
As Power Automate Desktop is already integrated in O365 and the #PowerPlatform, the hurdles for trying it out are significantly smaller, as people can easily download, install and use it with their existing (Sso) account.
Microsoft #PowerAutomateDesktop new Queue Feature makes it a serious alternative in terms of unattended #RPA - however I think in terms of usability and monitoring it falls short of expectations and is still considerably worse than competitors like #UiPath
